{"id":1102,"date":"2013-05-13T02:26:21","date_gmt":"2013-05-13T02:26:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/suretyone.com\/blog\/?p=1102"},"modified":"2017-01-03T16:20:35","modified_gmt":"2017-01-03T16:20:35","slug":"nevada-employment-agency-bond","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/suretyone.com\/blog\/nevada-employment-agency-bond\/","title":{"rendered":"Nevada Employment Agency Bond"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Along with the Labor Commissioner&#8217;s application, a <strong><a title=\"Surety One\" href=\"https:\/\/suretyone.com\" target=\"_blank\">Nevada employment agency bond<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>is statutorily required before a license will be granted. \u00a0Nevada law defines an &#8220;employment agency&#8221; as any person who, for a fee, commission or charge: \u00a0(a) provides information to a person seeking employment enabling the person seeking employment to secure employment; (b) provides information to a person seeking employees enabling the person seeking employees to obtain employees; or, (c) maintains records of persons seeking employment or employees (<a title=\"NV Employment agency laws\" href=\"http:\/\/www.leg.state.nv.us\/NRS\/NRS-611.html#NRS611Sec030\" target=\"_blank\">NRS 611.020<\/a>). \u00a0The <strong>Nevada employment agency bond<\/strong> must be\u00a0approved by the Labor Commissioner and written in the amount of $1,000 by a surety company authorized to do business in the state. \u00a0The surety bond must run to the people of the State of Nevada and will guarantee that the employment agency will comply with the provisions of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.leg.state.nv.us\/NRS\/NRS-611.html#NRS611Sec020\">NRS 611.020<\/a>\u00a0to\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.leg.state.nv.us\/NRS\/NRS-611.html#NRS611Sec320\">611.320<\/a>, inclusive. \u00a0The <strong><a title=\"NV Employment agency bond form\" href=\"http:\/\/www.laborcommissioner.com\/forms\/NV%20Employment%20Agency%20Bond%20Form.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Nevada employment agency bond<\/a><\/strong> must also guarantee that the agency will pay all damages occasioned to any person by reason of any misstatement, misrepresentation, fraud or deceit, or any unlawful act or omission of the agency made in the business conducted under the license, or caused by any other violation of law in carrying on an employment agency business.\u00a0The surety bond must be conditioned so that the suspension, revocation, surrender or expiration of the agency&#8217;s license will not affect the coverage of the <strong>Nevada employment agency bond<\/strong> as to a claim arising out of acts that occurred before the date of the suspension, revocation, surrender or expiration.\u00a0A notice of thirty days must be given to the Labor Commissioner before cancellation of the bond is effective. \u00a0If at anytime the surety cancels or non-renews the agency&#8217;s surety bond, or the <a title=\"NV Labor Commissioner\" href=\"http:\/\/www.laborcommissioner.com\/forms_pubs.html\" target=\"_blank\">Labor Commissioner<\/a> disapproves of a surety, then the Commissioner will give notice to the employment agency that a new bond must be secured. \u00a0In such cases the agency has ten days to provide a new <strong><a title=\"Surety One commercial surety page\" href=\"https:\/\/suretyone.com\/commercial-surety-bonds\" target=\"_blank\">Nevada employment agency bond<\/a><\/strong>. \u00a0Failure to do so will result in revocation of the agency license.\u00a0<strong>National\u00a0surety leader<\/strong>,\u00a0<a title=\"Surety One\" href=\"https:\/\/suretyone.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Surety One, Inc.<\/a>, is the \u2018No. 1\u2032 writer of surety bonds for the financial services sector. \u00a0We offer private employment agency\u00a0bonds\u00a0to ALL applicants in every state that requires them.
