{"id":1400,"date":"2014-07-06T22:48:43","date_gmt":"2014-07-06T22:48:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/suretyone.com\/blog\/?p=1400"},"modified":"2017-07-07T07:58:08","modified_gmt":"2017-07-07T07:58:08","slug":"oklahoma-barber-school-surety-bond","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/suretyone.com\/blog\/oklahoma-barber-school-surety-bond\/","title":{"rendered":"Oklahoma Barber School Surety Bond"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With the passage of OK Senate Bill 1929, barber school licensing parallels the licensing requirement of cosmetology schools. \u00a0An <strong>Oklahoma barber school surety bond<\/strong> is now necessary to operate as such. \u00a0A surety bond in the amount of two thousand dollars is required for the first (principal) instructor of the barber school and a one thousand dollar surety bond for each subsequent instructor. \u00a0The Board of Cosmetology and Barbers has adopted an administrative rule implementing the new law which restates the new statute. \u00a059 O.S. 2011, Section 199.7 states, &#8220;the owner of the school must furnish the Board of Cosmetology a good and sufficient surety bond in the principal sum of Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00) for the first instructor and an additional One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) for each additional instructor, executed by a surety company authorized to do business in this state, and conditioned on the faithful performance of the terms and conditions of all contracts entered into between the owner of the cosmetology or barber school and all persons enrolling therein. \u00a0The <strong>surety bond<\/strong> shall be in a form approved by the Attorney General and filed in the Office of the Secretary of State.
