Here are a few, . . .<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><strong>Arizona:<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.azleg.gov\/legtext\/52leg\/1r\/laws\/0144.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">SB1090<\/a> prohibits state agencies and political subdivisions from requiring a contractor to participate in project labor agreements, a labor neutrality agreement or an apprenticeship program that is registered with the U.S. Department of Labor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><strong>Arkansas:<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arkleg.state.ar.us\/assembly\/2015\/2015R\/Bills\/SB613.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">SB613<\/a> establishes the State Unpaved Roads Program Act, including the authority for public-private partnerships. The new law does not address subcontractor payment assurances.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><strong>Georgia:<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.legis.ga.gov\/Legislation\/20152016\/153406.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">HB255<\/a> requires that green building standards on state construction include only standards that give certification credits to Georgia forest products grown, manufactured and certified by various certifying organizations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><strong>Maryland:<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/mgaleg.maryland.gov\/2015RS\/chapters_noln\/Ch_106_hb0844T.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">HB844<\/a> increases the maximum bond amount available for a bond guarantee issued by the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.performancebond.com\" target=\"_blank\">Small Business Surety Bond Program<\/a><\/strong> of the Maryland Small Business Development Financing Authority from $1 million to $2.5 million.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><strong>Nevada:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leg.state.nv.us\/App\/NELIS\/REL\/78th2015\/Bill\/1513\/Text\" target=\"_blank\">AB165<\/a> gives businesses credit toward their modified business tax bill if they donate to a qualifying scholarship organization. Scholarships would go to students whose household income doesn\u2019t exceed 300 percent of the poverty level.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><strong>North Dakota:<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.legis.nd.gov\/assembly\/64-2015\/documents\/15-0800-05000.pdf?20150427075213\" target=\"_blank\">SB2233<\/a> requires a legislative management study of public improvement issues relating to use of multiple bids versus single prime bids, bidding thresholds, design services thresholds, and indemnification.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><strong>North Dakota:<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.legis.nd.gov\/assembly\/64-2015\/documents\/15-8183-05000.pdf?20150427075303\" target=\"_blank\">SB2188<\/a> provides penalties for operating without a contractor\u2019s license and committing construction fraud.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><strong>Utah:<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/le.utah.gov\/~2015\/bills\/static\/SB0296.html\" target=\"_blank\">SB296<\/a> bars housing or employment discrimination against gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender residents.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><strong>Virginia:<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/lis.virginia.gov\/cgi-bin\/legp604.exe?151+ful+CHAP0398\" target=\"_blank\">HB2267<\/a> establishes the Virginia Solar Energy Development Authority. The new law authorizes this new agency to use P3s (<em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/suretyone.com\" target=\"_blank\">Public Privatee Partnerships<\/a><\/strong><\/em>) under the existing law for P3s for public facilities and infrastructure to install solar energy generation systems at public and private facilities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><strong>West Virginia:<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.legis.state.wv.us\/Bill_Text_HTML\/2015_SESSIONS\/RS\/bills\/SB411%20SUB1%20enr.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">SB411<\/a>, the Asbestos Bankruptcy Trust Claims Transparency Act and the Asbestos and Silica Claims Priorities Act, relates to liability for exposures to asbestos or silica.
