During the 2013 fiscal year, Surety One, Inc.<\/a>, along with the Poindexter Surety Group of companies and their principal, continued a long-standing tradition of philanthropy by providing financial support to over thirty charitable organizations across the United States and the Dominican Republic. This broad spectrum of giving reflects the Group\u2019s steadfast commitment to corporate social responsibility and the belief that a successful enterprise should also be a force for good within the communities it serves.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur leadership takes VERY seriously our corporate social responsibility to the communities in which we operate,\u201d stated C. Constantin Poindexter, the firm\u2019s principal. \u201cWe strive to give as liberally as possible to legitimate human relief and medical research foundations. While prudent business management requires that we be good stewards of company resources, we are equally determined to ensure that a portion of our success is invested back into efforts that alleviate suffering, advance scientific understanding, and strengthen communities.\u201d<\/p>\n

In 2013, this commitment translated into targeted donations to organizations that provide tangible, measurable impact. Among the U.S. beneficiaries were St. Jude Children\u2019s Research Hospital, recognized for its pioneering work in pediatric cancer research and treatment; the American Red Cross, which offers disaster relief and emergency assistance; and Feeding America, a nationwide network of food banks combating hunger. The Group also supported Make-A-Wish Foundation, granting life-changing experiences for critically ill children, and the American Cancer Society, funding research and patient support programs.<\/p>\n

In the Dominican Republic, Surety One, Inc. directed aid toward community-based initiatives such as Hogar Escuela Armando Rosenberg, providing education and shelter for at-risk youth, and the Patronato Cibao de Rehabilitaci\u00f3n, which delivers rehabilitation services to individuals with disabilities. Contributions were also made to local medical missions and food relief efforts in underserved rural areas.<\/p>\n

This pattern of giving is not limited to high-profile national organizations. The Poindexter Surety Group has consistently sought out smaller, regional charities whose grassroots efforts meet critical needs often overlooked by larger aid programs.
