Pennsylvania&#8217;s Auctioneer Act (<a title=\"PA Auctioneer Board page with laws\" href=\"http:\/\/www.dos.state.pa.us\/portal\/server.pt\/community\/state_board_of_auctioneer_examiners\/12504\" target=\"_blank\">Section 2<\/a>) defines &#8220;Auctioneer&#8221; very broadly as a person who sells or offers or attempts to sell property at auction. The term includes any person who holds himself out as engaged in the business of selling property at auction. The <strong>Pennsylvania auctioneer surety bond<\/strong> must be written in the amount of $5,000 and guarantee that the auctioneer will\u00a0observe the provisions of all the laws of this Commonwealth and the rules and regulations promulgated by the <a title=\"PA Board of Auctioneer Exam.\" href=\"http:\/\/www.dos.state.pa.us\/portal\/server.pt\/community\/state_board_of_auctioneer_examiners\/12504\" target=\"_blank\">State Board<\/a> of Auctioneer Examiners.
