Motor vehicle dealers are licensed and regulated by the Division of Motorist Services pursuant to\u00a0<a title=\"FL M\/V dealer statutes\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flsenate.gov\/statutes\/index.cfm?mode=View%20Statutes&amp;SubMenu=1&amp;App_mode=Display_Statute&amp;Search_String=320.27&amp;URL=0300-0399\/0320\/Sections\/0320.27.html\" target=\"_blank\">Section 320.27 Florida Statutes<\/a>. \u00a0A license applicant\u00a0must have a site approved by a Division of Motorist Services Regional Office, for the dealership location. Once the site is approved by a Regional Office Compliance Examiner\/Officer, the application and <strong>Florida motor vehicle dealer bond<\/strong> in the amount of $25,000 must be submitted on state form\u00a0<a title=\"FL M\/V bond form\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flhsmv.gov\/dmv\/forms\/BFO\/86020.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">HSMV form 86020<\/a>. \u00a0The bond obligation states that the dealer will comply with the conditions of any written contract made in connection with the sale or exchange of any motor vehicle(s) and will not violate any of the provisions of <a title=\"FL M\/V dealer statutes\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flsenate.gov\/Laws\/\" target=\"_blank\">Chapter 319 and 320<\/a>, Florida Statutes, in the conduct of business. \u00a0The <a title=\"FL Div. of Motorist Svcs. - vehicle dealer lic. div.\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flhsmv.gov\/dmv\/dealer.html\" target=\"_blank\">Division of Motorist Services<\/a> has very helpful links and information to assist an applicant in understanding the <strong>Florida dealer bond<\/strong> and the licensing process.\u00a0The auto dealer must submit a hard copy of his or her\u00a0application, complete original sealed and signed surety bond with power of attorney made out to the dealer\u2019s\u00a0business name and address, associated registration documents and fee to:<\/p>\n<p>Florida Department of Highway Safety<br \/>\n2900 Apalachee Parkway, Room A312, Maistop #65<br \/>\nTallahassee, FL \u00a032399<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Florida\u00a0surety bond leader<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/suretyone.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Surety One, Inc.<\/a> offers same-day servicing of your new or renewal dealer bond request.
