A Florida talent agency bond and licensing are required of all parties who, for compensation, engages in the occupation or business of procuring or attempting to procure engagements for an artist. Pursuant to Florida Statute 468.408, a talent agency must file with the department for each talent agency license a surety bond issued by a reputable surety company engaged in the bonding business and authorized to do so in Florida. The Florida talent agency bond must be written in the penal sum of $5,000, with one or more sureties which meet the Department of Business and Professional Regulation. The bond must guarantee that the applicant will conform to and not violate any of the duties, terms, conditions, provisions, or requirements of law.

There are specific experience and documentary requirements for license candidates. The applicant must also have a clear understanding of acts prohibited under the statute and license maintenance/renewal deadlines.
