The North Carolina Manufactured Home Manufacturer License Surety Bond is a mandatory financial guarantee required by the North Carolina Manufactured Housing Board. It ensures that licensed manufacturers fulfill their warranty obligations and responsibilities under Article 9A of Chapter 143 of the North Carolina General Statutes and its associated regulations. Per the Fire Marshall, "Each applicant approved by the Board for a license as a manufactured home manufacturer, dealer, or set-up contractor shall furnish a corporate surety bond, cash bond or fixed value equivalent. Bond forms are attached below under files." The bond protects buyers and the state from losses arising from a manufacturer's failure to honor warranties or comply with state laws governing the production and sale of manufactured homes.
