An Oklahoma process server bond is required under 12 OK Stat § 12-158.1 (2014), after an application or renewal application is filed, there are no protests and the applicant appears qualified to the court. The process server surety bond is contemplated under Section (D).
Pursuant to §12-158.1.(D), an applicant must file an Oklahoma process server bond, "running to the State of Oklahoma in the amount of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) for faithful performance of his or her duties and file the bond with the court clerk." If the candidate has been approved by the court then upon filing of the surety bond the applicant is authorized and licensed to serve civil process in any county in the state.
